Hi, I am Doctor Ena.
Or, as they like to call me at home, mom.
And, welcome to DoctorEna.com.
OK, so a little about me, because my blog adviser tells me that I have to be bloggy if I want to be a real blogger.
I am a mother of three girls. Plenty on them throughout the blog. They offer an endless supply of material, let me tell you. Love, love, love my girls. My husband is pretty ok, too.
Well, what else?
Oh, I am a board-certified family medicine physician who practices in the northwest suburbs of Chicago. Love my patients. Love, love, love them. They make my day, everyday. Some people don’t like their job. I can’t relate. Medicine has changed and continues to change, but the patients, well, they are indispensable and bring me happiness.
I also created Three Daughters of the Doctor, LLC, a personal care company that focuses on the lives of multi-ethnic people. I look forward to bringing unique personal care products for hair, bath and skin to the market over the months ahead.
I originally created the DoctorEna blog to muse about things that are going on in the world of medicine and to bemoan Saturday morning soccer practices. But so much has changed in the past couple of years. The biggest of these, of course, is the creation of my company.
Mompreneur in her 40s? Guilty as charged.
It has been a labor of love. And, soon, we will have products to share with the world.
Our first brand, Many Ethnicities (www.ManyEthnicities.com) is about to launch. Stay tuned for that. We are taking an unusual approach in actually interacting with the customers and listening to them and their needs to create something truly meaningful for multi-ethnic people.
How about that?
With the business starting to take on a life of its own, I suspect that I will be talking about that quite a bit here. So come along on this journey with me.
We will talk about the birth of the Many Ethnicities brand, and all of the interesting research and development, product, packaging and distribution decisions require to bring what we hope someday will become a world-class brand that never forgets where it started!
You know what, from time to time, I will be coming to you to help me make these decisions.
Thanks for your support and love!
